How the ETV Canada Technology Verification Program works
Technology vendors apply to the ETV Program for verification of the claims made concerning the environmental performance of their technologies. If the claim is verified successfully, the company is issued three documents: a framed Verification Certificate, a Technology Fact Sheet and a Final Verification Report; the vendor is also entitled to use the ETV logo (on the specified documentation) to market their technology in Canada and abroad. Suppliers of equipment-based environmental services (where performance can be verified) are also eligible to apply for verification.
ETV Canada provides buyers with an assurance that a vendor's claims regarding the environmental performance of their technology are valid, credible and supported by suitable demonstration test data and information.
The ETV Program is considered by Canadian Provinces as an important component of their respective Certificates of Approvals processes.
The ETV process is a proven assessment mechanism for determining technology performance with a high level of reliability.
The ETDAP program can provide a market review and technical assessment of your technology. This may be desirable before submitting to the verification program.
